(ROSTOCK) Mit dem Konzept: „Oben ankommen mit der Universität Rostock“ – Integrierte Studien- und Berufsbegleitung als erfolgreiches Instrument für die Erreichung individueller Karriereziele“ hat die Universität Rostock ein Preisgeld der Hochschulinitiative Neue Bundesländer in Höhe von 100.000 Euro gewonnen. Übereicht wurde der Scheck heute (01.02.2012) in Berlin. Schon bei dem Wettbewerb von 2010/11 zur Optimierung des Studierendenmarketings war die Universität Rostock mit einem Preisgeld von ebenfalls 100.000 Euro erfolgreich. „Zweimal zu den Gewinnern zu gehören zeigt, wie innovationsfreudig und innovationsfähig die Universität ist“, sagte Rektor Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schareck. Die Universität Rostock mache damit ihrem Leitspruch „traditio et innovatio“ alle Ehre.
Mit ihrem Wettbewerbsbeitrag leiste die Universität Rostock einen Beitrag zu attraktiven Studienbedingungen als Basis für die Rekrutierung von Studierenden aus den westlichen Bundesländern zu einer Studienaufnahme an den jeweiligen Hochschulen in Ostdeutschland, befand die Jury. Die Karriereaussichten der Absolventen ostdeutscher Hochschulen seien ein wichtiges Kriterium bei der Entscheidung über den Hochschulort, heißt es weiter. Als besonders hervorhebenswert lobte die Jury, dass andere vom Konzept der Universität Rostock lernen können.
„Oben ankommen mit der Universität Rostock’ steht für Rostocks geographische Lage, das Ankommen und Wohlfühlen der Zielgruppe an ihrem Universitätsstandort, der sich durch hohe Qualität in der Ausbildung sowie das Erwerben einer Hochschulausbildung, die viele Karrierewege öffnet, auszeichnet“, erläutert Projektleiterin Anja Klütsch. Kurz: „Es geht um Wege, die nach oben führen“. Voraussetzung ist, die Bedarfe und auch die typischen Karrierewege der Studierenden und Absolventen mit ihren regionalen Spezifika zu kennen. Dazu werden bestehende Daten neu bewertet und weitere, als wichtig erachtete Daten erhoben und ausgewertet. „Damit wollen wir noch passgenauere Angebote, besonders im Bereich der Arbeitgeberkontakte und der Kompetenzförderung unterbreiten“, so Klütsch. Mit dem Projekt „Karrierewege“ sollen auch Social Networks und Career Scouts eingebunden werden, um mit den Studierenden noch gezielter über Karriere kommunizieren zu können.
