Ein einmaliges kulturelles Ereignis
Das 500 Jahre alte „Rostocker Liederbuch“ wird am 24.1. aufgeführt. Damit erklingt nach rund 500 Jahren wieder eine Musiksammmlung, welche die einstigen Hits des Mittelalters umfasst.

(ROSTOCK) Forschung zum Hören, eine sinnlich zu erlebende Expedition ins Mittelalter. Das bietet das Department „Wissen – Kultur – Transformation“ der Interdisziplinären Fakultät der Universität Rostock am 24. Januar. Im Orgelsaal der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock (HMT) werden an diesem Tag um 20 Uhr Stücke aus dem „Rostocker Liederbuch“ gespielt und gesungen.
Diese Liedsammlung aus der zweiten Hälfte des 15. Jahrhunderts, die 60 Stücke in niederdeutscher, hochdeutscher und lateinischer beziehungsweise deutsch-lateinischer Sprache zusammenträgt, zählt wegen der Vielfalt und der Besonderheit der in ihm vertretenen Texttypen sowie der hohen Anzahl von 30 Melodien zu den bedeutendsten Quellen für die deutsche Lyrik des 15. Jahrhunderts.
Sie ist seit vielen Jahren Arbeitsschwerpunkt der Department-Mitglieder Prof. Dr. Franz-Josef Holznagel (Lehrstuhl für Germanistische Mediävistik) und Prof. Dr. Hartmut Möller (Institut für Musikwissenschaft und Musikpädagogik der HMT). Ihr gleichnamiges Vorhaben, ein „Digitales Archiv zum `Rostocker Liederbuch´“ aufzubauen, gewann im Vorjahr im Forschungsfonds Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Mit Unterstützung der Interdisziplinären Fakultät der Universität Rostock übten Studierende der HMT einige der Stücke für das einzigartige Gesprächskonzert ein. Sie werden im Grunde zum ersten Mal zu Gehör gebracht, da zu vielen Liedern Angaben zu Instrumentierung und Melodie fehlen. Es spielen: Sandra Havenstein (Flöte), Devon Rempel (Gitarre) und Thomas Günther (Violoncello). Sänger sind Marie Cornelius und Tim Wendland.
Aus den insgesamt 51 Werken wurden 12 der bedeutendsten Stücke ausgewählt, musikalisch interpretiert und auf hochdeutsch übersetzt. Zusätzlich informieren die Studenten über die Entstehungsgeschichte der einzelnen Stücke und des „Rostocker Liederbuchs“.
Die Veranstaltung wird unterstützt von der HMT, der Universitätsbibliothek Rostock, welche die wertvolle Liedsammlung aufbewahrt, sowie der Interdisziplinären Fakultät der Universität Rostock. Das Department „Wissen – Kultur – Transformation“ nutzt die Gelegenheit, seine wissenschaftlichen Aktivitäten mit einer Posterausstellung in der HMT zu präsentieren.
